Rail and DART services in North Dublin were disrupted this morning after man was struck and seriously injured by a train on the line between Howth Junction on Kilbarrack Station.

The train involved in the incident was the 7.35am Enterprise service from Connolly to Belfast, and the incident took place shortly before 7.45am.

The emergency services attended the scene, and the line was closed, disrupting DART services north of Harmonstown Station, as well as Drogheda commuter and Belfast services.

Iarnród Éireann said normal services have now resumed.
