Drogheda United were made to sweat unnecessarily before winning their FAI Cup second round replay against Louth rivals Dundalk at United Park this evening.

United went two-nil up, Lester from the penalty spot in the 37th and 42nd minutes, before adding a third (O'Brien 73) in the second half. But just when the tie looked to out of reach the visitors made a late comeback.

Goals from Kelly and Noonan in the 80th and 86th minute meant United had to endure several nervous minutes before the referee eventually blew the final whistle.
