Chelsea thumped Premiership rivals West Ham 5-1 at Stamford Bridge today in a rehearsal for next week's FA Cup fourth round tie between the two London sides.
On a miserable afternoon for Glenn Roeder's men, West Ham also had volatile Italian striker Paolo Di Canio sent off for stamping on Chelsea midfielder Jody Morris.
Chelsea's win keeps them in sixth place, three points behind Liverpool.
Di Canio saw red after 70 minutes in what could be his last game for the Hammers.
The former Celtic man is still being strongly linked with a move to Premiership leaders Manchester United.
Prolific Dutch striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink scored twice to take his tally for the season as did his Icelandic internationale partner Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Jermaine Defoe netted late on for West Ham but there was still time for Chelsea's Finnish substitute Mikael Forssell to complete an emphatic victory for the home side.
