Conor McGregor charged with dangerous driving in Dublin

UFC fighter (33) was driving a convertible Bentley in Palmerstown when stopped

Conor McGregor is set to appear before the courts in Dublin after being charged with dangerous driving. The UFC fighter is alleged to have been detected driving dangerously in west Dublin on Tuesday evening.

He was arrested and taken to Lucan Garda station, Co Dublin, before being charged there and released pending his court appearance. The 33-year-old originally from Crumlin, Dublin, had his Bentley convertible vehicle returned to him after his release.

He underwent tests for intoxicants at the Garda station, which is a standard procedure for arrested motorists and passed those tests.

Garda Headquarters, Phoenix Park, Dublin said in reply to queries gardaí had arrested a man in his 30s in Palmerstown, Dublin on Tuesday evening "in relation to an incident of dangerous driving".

"The man was taken to Lucan Garda station where he was later charged. He has been released pending an appearance before Blanchardstown District Court at a later date."
