Outhalf Daniel Carter scored 22 points to lead New Zealand to a 44-12 victory over England in their test match at Lancaster Park in Christchurch  today.

Carter scored a try, set up another for Richard Kahui and slotted three penalties and four conversions for his tally, while Ma'a Nonu, Sione Lauaki and Jimmy Cowan also scored second half tries for the All Blacks.

Stephen Donald added a late conversion.

England scrumhalf Danny Care and wing Tom Varndell scored tries for the visitors, while replacement flyhalf Olly Barkley slotted a conversion.

New Zealand next play South Africa in Wellington in two weeks time, while England return home after suffering two heavy test defeats to the All Blacks.
