WASHINGTON - A bomb threat kept thousands of staff and students away from the University of South Florida yesterday.
The threat was contained in a letter demanding that US media apologise for the way they portrayed Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, who had taught at the university before he became head of the Palestinian extremist group Islamic Jihad last October.
