Bank of Ireland announced today it has entered a partnership for the redevelopment of the Old London Stock Exchange building on behalf of private clients.

B of I's private banking arm will take a 25 per cent (€55.8 million) stake in the €417 million development - which it will share with Hammerson and GE Capital Real Estate.

In a statement, B of I said the redevelopment of the 26-storey tower building on Old Broad Street, adjacent to the Bank of England, will provide 325,000-square-feet of office space and 7,000-square-feet of retail space.

Construction is scheduled to begin in February 2006 and is due to be complete by the end of the year.
