Dr Ruth Barrington has been appointed to the board of The Irish Times Ltd as a nominated director. She became a Governor of The Irish Times Trust in 2002.
Dr Barrington is chief executive of the Dublin Molecular Medicine Centre, soon to be Molecular Medicine Ireland, and formerly chief executive of the Health Research Board. She is chair of the group monitoring the implementation of
"A vision for Change", the Government's mental health policy.
Mr Eoin O'Driscoll has been appointed to the board of The Irish Times Ltd as a nominated director. He became a governor of The Irish Times Trust in 2006.
Mr O'Driscoll is chairman of Forfás, chairman of the SWS group, chairman of Enet, a board member of the Cork University Foundation, the Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience and a member of the national executive council of Ibec.
