Road restrictions in Dublin's Phoenix Park and diversions on the M50 are among items which the AA has asked drivers in the Dublin area to be aware of this weekend.
Around the country the AA has also warned drivers to be aware of Sunday racing at Waterford and the Curragh in Co Kildare, a Munster cycle challenge travelling between Cork and Limerick today, and Westlife at the Odyssey Arena in Antrim until April 16th.
Met Éireann said the current warm spell is likely to continue with temperatures rising to between 17 and 20 degrees.
However, the good weather is likely to lead to increased traffic and drivers have been asked to take special care on the M50, particularly in the area of the Red Cow interchange where new traffic diversions went into operation yesterday morning. The Garda Síochána said new speed cameras would be in operation.
Drivers are also reminded that the Bupa Great Irish Run is to take place in the Phoenix Park tomorrow, necessitating the closure of a number of park gates and internal roads from early morning.
Also in Dublin, the Disney on Ice show continues at the Point and new parking arrangements will be in place in the area.
More than 50 cyclists and support crew including motorbike marshals will be in the cycle challenge which starts from the South Court Hotel in Limerick at 8am today, travelling through Charleville, Mallow, Mitchelstown, Cahir, Tipperary and returning to Limerick this evening.
Motorists are asked to expect delays along the route and to approach with caution.
The Allianz National Football League semi-finals will take place in Croke Park tomorrow.
The Garda also renewed their advice to drivers to drive at slow speeds and never drink and drive.
