DUBLIN

A temporary diversion at the Alfie Byrne Road/East Point Business Park is open to facilitate Dublin Port Tunnel works.

Traffic lights on M1 between Shantalla Bridge and Coolock Interchange will be switched on and off intermittently to facilitate roadworks until at least May/June. There is also a new yellow box junction. The roadworks, lights and yellow box junction will be in place until September/December.

No right turn on the N11 into or out of Wyattville Rd until at least mid-summer 2003. Alternative routes are via the Loughlinstown roundabout, the U-turn junction at Cherrywood Estate or via Johnstown Rd and Clonkeen Rd.

The N1/M1 Swords Road remains reduced to one lane in both directions between Collins Avenue and Shantalla Bridge. Restrictions will apply to different stretches of the road as work progresses over a two-year period.

There will be no right turn from Monday to Friday from the Swords Rd, southbound, to Collins Avenue between 4pm and 7pm. Diversions and sign-posted alternative routes will be are: northbound motorists approaching Dublin from the south-west should use the M50; motorists travelling from the city should follow the sign-posted route via Finglas Rd to the M50 or via Griffith Ave and Ballymun Rd to the M50; southbound motorists travelling to destinations south-west of Dublin should use the M50. Motorists travelling to the city should follow the sign-posted route via Malahide Rd, Coolock and Fairview.

Only buses, taxis, bicycles and motorcycles will have access to the slip road southbound from Shantalla Bridge. Extra priority will be given to public transport with three Northside QBC routes serving the area - Malahide Rd, Finglas Rd and the Swords Rd.

MEATH

Roadworks will continue for the next two weeks on the N4 at Enfield, alternating between the eastern and western side of the village.

WATERFORD

The Tramore Rd will be closed from the Esso garage on the Cork Road to the Tramore roundabout until early June. There is local access only and diversions are in operation. Roadworks on Mattie's Hill at Vincent White's roundabout until the end of April.

CORK

Roadworks will operate over the coming weeks on Lower Glanmire Rd as part of the Cork Main Drainage Scheme. Restrictions will operate on sections of the road as needs be. Delays should be expected on Washington St at South Main.

Traffic is reduced to one lane in both directions. There is no right turn from South Main Street (on the North Main Street side) onto Washington Street. Traffic approaching from Castle Street and North Main Street will be diverted via Liberty Street and Court House Street. Access to Western Rd is via Sullivan's Quay, Sharman Crawford St, Wandesford Quay, St Finbarrs Bridge and Lancaster Quay. This system be in place for six weeks until approx 24th April. The left turn from Grand Parade onto Washington St has been reinstated.

The Western Road is closed to inbound traffic (eastward) until at least September. Inbound traffic will be diverted via the Mardyke Walk and enter opposite the Sacred Heart Church. The Mardyke may only be accessed at this point for the duration of the works. There will be no access to the Mardyke Walk at the Bandfield. There will be no right turn from Gaol Walk onto Western Road. Heavy goods vehicles should divert at Victoria Cross to South Ring Road. Inbound bus stops on Western Road will be transferred to the Mardyke Walk. No parking will be removed along the Mardyke Walk.
