Moving InThe Riverdance promoters, John McColgan and Moya Doherty, are to move all their production companies into 13 Merrion Square, a stunning Georgian building which they bought for €8 million.

The house was previously owned by Little Bird, a successful film production company and, along with its mews, incorporates a private 30-seat cinema and two duplex apartments. The five-storey period building has been expensively refurbished and, while the original fabric has been carefully maintained, a number of contemporary architectural features have been introduced which give it added distinction.

A modern two-storey return features a stunning garden room. Outside there is an equally impressive garden, with sub-tropical plantings, which has been featured in several books as well as a range of newspapers. A stylish, modern five-storey building at the rear, fronting on to Denzille Lane, includes the cinema and two apartments.

Colgan and Doherty have developed a large television production business and are also involved in film production. They are shortly to take Riverdance to Japan where it has been booked out until 2010 - the 10th anniversary of the launch of the show.
