DUBLIN 2: FROM €330,000:THERE ARE 10 apartments for sale at The Waterfront on Hanover Quay, Dublin 2, a development of 68 apartments.

While most of them – around 48 – sold last year after a successful launch, Hooke MacDonald is quoting lower prices this time around. Built by Ellier Developments, the Waterfront overlooks Grand Canal basin and is close to Grand Canal Square.

There are three show units on view designed by Minima, Minnie Peters and Duff Tisdall. The apartments on sale are a mix of one, two and three-beds. One-beds of 44-58sq m (470-620sq ft) are from €330,000; two-beds of 75-89sq m (800-950sq ft) are from €420,000; and 96-168sq m (1,025-1,800sq ft) penthouses start at €550,000. The prices have dropped substantially since the scheme was launched last May. At that stage one-beds started at €405,000, two-beds were from €550,000 to €640,000 and three-beds were from €795,000. Designed by architects Burke Kennedy Doyle, the glass-fronted building has a swish entrance lobby. Features include higher than average ceilings, underfloor heating, smart home technology, SieMatic kitchens and large balconies. Apartments also have dedicated storage facilities, and bathrooms fitted with granite, glass Italian fittings and chrome.

The kitchens come with a range of integrated stainless steel Neff appliances and bedrooms have recessed white high gloss sliding wardrobes and white oak shelving and drawers.
