Agents Hooke & MacDonald are understood to be seeking about £3.5 million for a four-acre site near the centre of Leixlip, Co Kildare. There is a fine detached period house on a corner of the land but the agents say the site has obvious potential for a development of apartments or houses. A four-acre site in Lucan village was bought over a year ago by Deane Brothers for £3.1 million, where the planners recently granted permission for a development of 118 apartments.
