Have your say: How does poor broadband affect you?

540,000 properties are affected by poor internet access. Is yours one of them?

People living in rural Ireland may be waiting even longer for high-speed broadband to reach their homes and businesses, after Eir’s unexpected withdrawal from the National Broadband Plan procurement process this week.

If you are one of the people living or working in the 540,000 properties affected by poor internet access, The Irish Times would like to hear from you (provided you can even access this article and online form, that is). How does the poor connection affect your ability to use the internet, for personal or business reasons? How long does it take you to open emails, download documents, stream films or television programmes? How does it hinder your ability to do business? How do you think it affects your area, and rural Ireland, overall? What do you think the solution is?

Please share your experiences using this form.

Please attach a photograph of yourself if you have one, and include a few lines about you - where you live, who you live with (if writing about home use) or your business.
