Pres Bray 13 Wesley College 8:A FLASHING try from left wing Eamonn Wolohan in the 64th minute eased Pres Bray through at Kiltiernan. Their reward is a Leinster Schools Junior Cup quarter-final with the winners of Sunday's encounter between St Michael's and Castleknock.
This was an even affair, with both sides keen to use the ball in trying conditions. The losers’ number eight Pádraig Cullen, a force to be reckoned with, crashed over for their only try.
Captain Andrew Scanlon added a penalty.
Pres had slightly more punch in attack, where right wing Darren Walsh made their breakthrough. Outhalf Conor Byrne’s three-pointer meant it was 8-8 going into the final quarter.
It was a scenario that needed a hero. Along came Wolohan, who had moved into scrumhalf, to pop up on the outside for the winner.
