TWELVE-TIME winners St Kieran's, Kilkenny, did not pull away from their Belfast opponents until the second half of this All-Ireland Colleges SHC A semi-final at Navan yesterday.

St Mary's held their own during the first hall, with a beautifully struck point from a sideline cut by one of their midfielders, Kieran Grego, being a highlight.

The Kilkenny lads led by 0-7 to 0-3 at the break but three points soon after the restart put them on the road to a comfortable victory.
