Roddy Collins will be unveiled as the new general manager of Livingston Football Club on Wednesday.

The former Shamrock Rovers, Bohemians and Carlisle United boss has been drafted in by Irish businessman Anthony McMullen, who recently acquired a 50 per cent stake in the Scottish first division club from owner and chairman Pearse Flynn.

Collins' new role is expected to be along the lines of a 'director of football' and will begin immediately. First on his agenda looks likely to be the appointment of a new manager.

Under the guidance of Mark Proctor and former Republic of Ireland defender Curtis Fleming, Livingston finished seventh (fourth from bottom) in the league this season, with 10 wins from 36 games.

Reports have since suggested that Proctor and his assistant could be replaced, with their fate set to be decided after a review of the season takes place this week.

Former Celtic and West Ham striker John Hartson has been mooted as a replacement, while other former Hoops, Paul Lambert and Jackie McNamara, may also be in contention.
