FERDY MURPHY'S Paddy's Return ran well to finish second to the home-trained Mon Remain in the main French Champion Hurdle trial race, the Prix la Barka over an extended 21 furlongs at Auteuil yesterday.
Norman Williamson's mount survived a mistake two out and did well to get within two lengths of Mon Romain (Anne-Sophie Madeleine). Paddy's Return is likely to return for the French Champion Hurdle later this month,
