KILKENNY SHC SEMI-FINALS: James Stephens 3-16 St Martin's 2-10:COUNTY STARS Eoin Larkin and Jackie Tyrrell helped James Stephens overcome St Martin's (Muckalee) to book a place in the Kilkenny senior hurling final at Nowlan Park yesterday.
A fortuitous goal from John Maher on 19 minutes helped Martin’s lead 1-7 to 0-6 at the interval.
Joe Maher extended the losers’ lead with a quick point but free-taker Larkin, who finished with 1-10 to his credit, kept popping over the scores for the Village. The Kilkenny star drew James Stephens level (2-10 to 1-13) by the 49th minute.
Late goals from Larkin and sub Eoin McCormack sealed the win.
