UNDER-21 FOOTBALL LEINSTER QUARTER-FINALS: Laois 1-18 Wicklow 1-4: LAOIS GAINED revenge for last year's defeat when they routed Wicklow at Aughrim yesterday.
Wicklow could not have asked for a better start when they had a goal by Thomas Kelly after three minutes in response to Donal Kingston’s opening point for Laois.
A reflection of the subsequent annihilation of the home side was the fact that 1-1 of their 1-4 total for the match came in the opening seven minutes and Laois were 0-6 to 1-1 ahead at half-time.
Kingston had a huge game for Laois with seven points to his credit and then Jason Moore put the polish on the victory with a goal in injury-time.
