The Irish lightweight four, who hope to secure an Olympic place next month, made it through their first test at the World Cup regatta in Munich yesterday.

The crew finished second in their heat to France, with Russia in third place. The Irish now move on to today's repechage.

Ireland's other two crews in action yesterday, the lightweight men's double and the lightweight women's double, both finished fourth in their heats and also face repechages today.
