Ballantines Championship: Robert-Jan Derksen remains a two-stroke leader at the end of the third round at the Ballantine's Championship despite carding a three-over 75 in extremely blustery conditions on Jeju Island.

With strong winds affecting all the golfers out on the par-72 Pinx Golf Club course today, Derksen’s tally of nine under from last night fell to six-under as the Dutchman holed four consecutive bogeys in his final four holes.

He still remains two shots clear of Pablo Martin after the Spaniard recorded a two-over 74 with one of the steadiest rounds of the day which included three bogeys and a solitary birdie on the opening hole.

Derksen had at one point threatened to extend his lead over the chasing pack, as Thongchai Jaidee and Kang Wook-soon started to fall off the pace.

Making the turn at one-over, he holed an eagle on the par-five 10th to move to 10-under, and despite losing a shot on the next hole a birdie at the 13th put him five shots clear.

But then a run of four consecutive bogeys on the final four holes dragged his score back to three-over for the day to make sure the lead will still be contested on the final day.

Gareth Maybin, at four-over, is the leading Irish player with Peter Lawrie a shot further back and Paul McGinley on seven-over.
