Unmoved by the Ryder Cup

Sir, – Am I the only golfer in Ireland that is left completely unmoved by the Ryder Cup? Does it make any difference at all who wins?

The top European players choose not to play on the European tour.

Their chest-beating in playing against the country in which they make their living is nonsensical.

I propose that the competition should be between the US PGA tour and the European tour – regardless of the nationality of the players.
