Sir, - Your Religious Affairs Correspondent, Patsy McGarry, recently listed a number of important TV documentaries made by British TV companies about "Irish affairs" in recent years and rightly admonished Irish TV companies for neglecting such issues (The Irish Times, April 3rd). However, he omitted to mention the most important documentary of all, on the Dublin and Monaghan bombings - The Hidden Hand, broadcast by Yorkshire TV in 1993 and researched by me. Nine years later this "Irish affair" is still the subject of a Government inquiry, as a direct result of the programme. -
