Sir, – A double child-benefit payment has arrived in my account. I was reminded of this by Simon Harris in an Instagram video, in which he fawns over beautiful, smiling children.
My beautiful, smiling child does not need this double payment.
I, like many lucky others, can afford to provide for her needs. Instead, I worry for the families and carers of vulnerable young people in desperate need of respite and support.
As such, I will be donating my payment to Barretstown or Barnardos.
