Xilinx in R&D link with Queens University

US microchip designer Xilinx has this morning announced a major research link-up with Queens University in Belfast.

US microchip designer Xilinx has this morning announced a major research link-up with Queens University in Belfast.

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Queens will work with Xilinx to create futuristic new microchip concepts for use in telecommunications networks.

Xilinx has its European Headquarters in Dublin at a high-tech R&D centre where 400 are employed.
