Two writers who interviewed paramilitaries as part of a Boston College project on the Troubles have announced they are to take a case to the US Supreme Court in a bid to keep the files confidential.

The statement came from Anthony McIntyre, a writer and former IRA prisoner, and author Ed Moloney.
