Westlife's Kian Egan received facial injuries after an
incident in Sligo early this morning.

A Garda spokesman said an investigation had been launched into an alleged altercation on Gratten St, Sligo at 4.15 a.m. which resulted in a man being admitted to Sligo General Hospital. He could not confirm that Egan was involved.
But a spokeswoman for Sligo General confirmed this evening that 21-year-old Egan had been treated for an injury to his nose early this morning.
The band play Dublin's Point Theatre tonight.
