The three people who died after a house fire in Sligo town early this morning have been named.
Mr Eugene Coyle (43), Ms Annette O'Brien (44) and Ms Kathleen Divers (36) died as a result of the fire.
Gardai were called to the terraced house at St Brigid's Place in the town shortly after 2.30 a.m.
Six adults were in the house at the time. Three died in the blaze while the others were taken to Sligo General Hospital.
The Assistant State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, visited the house today.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination and a Garda investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
