'Viable device' found in Dublin house

A suspect device was found in the driveway of a house in Kill O The Grange, Dublin last night.

A suspect device was found in the driveway of a house in Kill O The Grange, Dublin last night.

The device was found near the rear of a car in the driveway of the house on Rose park, Kill Avenue, Dun Laoghaire shortly after 6pm.

When gardaí arrived on the scene they sealed off the area, evacuated several houses and requested the services of the army technical experts.

Army personnel removed the device to Cathal Brugha Barracks where it was dismantled and determined to be viable.

A Garda spokesman said the device was left on the driveway between 5.50pm on May 27th and 6.20pm yesterday.
