Two men are due in court in Co Down this morning charged in connection with a €26.6 million cannabis seizure in Newtownards on Tuesday.
The men - aged 31 and 39 - will appear before Newtownards Magistrates Court in Downpatrick charged with possession of and intent to supply class A drugs.
Tuesday's haul of 3.5 tonnes of cannabis - the largest drugs seizure in the North - was destined to be distributed in the Republic and Britain, PSNI officers said.
The seizure followed an intelligence-led inquiry involving the Drugs Squad and Customs officers.
