Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery of a shop in Co Cork last night.
The incident happened at about 8.45pm when two men armed with a small sword entered the Costcutters store in Ballyhead, Charleville and threatened staff.
The men escaped in a car with several hundred.
Gardaí stopped the car a short time later and recovered the cash.
The men, aged aged 25 and 48, were taken to Mallow Garda station where they are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
