Two men have been arrested following the discovery of a firearm in Co Dublin earlier today.
Gardaí arrested the two, who are both aged in their early 30s in the Malahide area of Dublin at about 9am in connection with an ongoing operation into organised criminal activity in the North of the city.
As part of a follow up search a loaded Glock handgun and a quantity of ammunitionwas recovered.
The two are currently being in held at Coolock and Malahide Garda stations under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act.
