A brother of murdered dissident republican Alan Ryan and two other men who were following his funeral have been served with the book of evidence at the Special Criminal Court.
Vincent Ryan (22) is charged with IRA membership, as are Darragh Evans (23) and Nathan Kinsella (33).The three were arrested following paramilitary activity at Ryan’s funeral in September. Counsel for Mr Kinsella told the non-jury court that due to an injury criminally inflicted, his client was unable to attend. Mr Ryan and Mr Evans are additionally charged with firearms offences as part of a Garda investigation into another matter and they were remanded in custody.
Mr Justice Paul Butler, with Judge Margaret Heneghan and Judge William Hamill, listed the matter for mention on January 29th.
