Two men are being questioned by gardaí in connection with the robbery of a post office by raiders armed with a sledge hammer and a knife.
The men entered the post office in Prosperous, Co Kildare, at 9.35am yesterday and stole a sum of money. They escaped in a car in the direction of Naas. The Garda helicopter and Garda cars were sent to the area. The raider’s car was stopped by gardaí near Clondalkin.
