BOSNIA: The NATO-led peacekeeping force in Bosnia raided the home of Gen Ratko Mladic's mother yesterday, but failed to find the fugitive Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect.

Stabilisation Force troops, supported by combat vehicles, helicopters and sniffer dogs, sealed off the area around Gen Mladic's mother's house in the Serbian part of Sarajevo after she had died overnight.

For years one of the world's most wanted men, Gen Mladic is accused of genocide during Bosnia's 1992-95 conflict.
