Bedfordshire - Shocked locals told last night how they saw an idyllic day trip turn to tragedy when three children drowned after their family's car plunged into a lake.
Imran Khan, aged six, Aaron Khan, aged five and two-year-old Sharla Blair were trapped in the car for more than 90 minutes after it sank into Arlesey Lake, Bedfordshire. Their parents and a male friend managed to escape from the vehicle, which sank into 20 feet of water at the popular beauty spot known locally as the Blue Lagoon.
