About 20 members of the Dublin city branch of the Teachers' Union of Ireland picketed the Department of Education yesterday in a protest over incremental pay for part time teaching service. The TUI wants the Department to take into account part time service before obtaining a permanent post in the case of 10 teachers of Post Leaving Cert courses. The Department has refused to recognise the qualifications of the teachers involved.
