Stones drop British tour

London - The Rolling Stones have dropped the British leg of their World Tour over claims that Labour's tax reforms would leave them with a £12 million sterling bill, it was reported last night. The band said if they went ahead with their four British concerts their entire European tour would run at a loss.The Stones's Lawyers have already protested in the Commons Finance Bill Committee at what they regard as retrospective legislation since the band and their 270 crew had already embarked on the Tour.Mick Jagger, who ,is rehearsing in Munich, told The Times it was a "very difficult decision to make" but it would have been "foolish" to run at a loss.
