A serving garda was questioned yesterday in connection with the alleged theft of official Garda documents.
The garda, who is based in the south west was arrested under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and questioned at Tramore Garda Station.
He was released yesterday without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.
The garda is reported to have a number of years experience. He has not been suspended from duty.
