The RUC is treating as suspicious the death of a 46 year old single man from the Bogside in Derry. Mr Thomas Doherty died early yesterday in Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry, where he was taken the previous afternoon from his home in Dove Gardens.
The police are awaiting results of a post mortem to help establish how he died. They say he had bruising to his body and have asked the public for help in tracing his final movements.
