A man charged with withholding information in connection with the death of a Galway teacher and part-time publican in September has been remanded in custody. Florin Fitzpatrick (37), College Road, Galway, appeared at Harristown District Court yesterday. He is charged with withholding information in connection with the killing of John Kenny last month.

Mr Kenny (56) was found dead with his hands tied behind his back at his pub in Oughterard on September 25th.

Judge Geoffrey Browne remanded him in custody to appear again next Friday.
