JAKARTA - The International Committee of the Red Cross said yesterday it had abandoned efforts to secure the release of six foreign and five Indonesian hostages held by rebels in Indonesia's Irian Jaya province. Four Britons, two Dutch, including a heavily pregnant woman, and five Indonesians were seized by Free Papua Movement (OPM) rebels on January 8th and are being held in a rainforest.
