A DUBLIN priest pleaded guild yesterday to seven charges of indecently assaulting boys in a church presbytery and at other locations during the 1980s.

The 43-year-old priest, who cannot be identified, was remanded on continuing bail to appear again at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on November 10th for sentence. He is now living in an abbey outside Dublin.

Judge Cyril Kelly also fixed November 3rd for the trial of the defendant on five similar charges he denies.

The charges he has admitted relate to four teenage boys who were indecently assaulted by the priest on dates from August 1980 to the mid 1980s.
