Ms Rita Shah of Shabra Group was named the O2 BPW Business Woman of the Year last night.

Ms Shah set up Shabra Plastics and Packaging, which makes and prints plastic bags, in 1986. In 1994 she acquired a new plant in Castleblaney and increased her staff to 25.
Shabra is one of Ireland's leading recyclers and now operates a fully integrated washing plant for cleaning all types of waste plastic.
