Oxegen returns to new date on August bank holiday weekend

The Oxegen music festival will return to Punchestown Racecourse in Kildare this year after a one-year break.

The Oxegen music festival will return to Punchestown Racecourse in Kildare this year after a one-year break.

It will be held in August, rather than July, and will be over two days during the bank holiday weekend, rather than three as before.

It’s expected the line up for the event will be announced at the end of the month with Elton John, Eminem and Snoop Dogg among the acts rumoured to be on the bill.

The festival’s reputation had suffered in recent years and security is expected to be stepped up this year.
