The Lower Ormeau Concerned Community group has drawn up a set of six principles which it is asking the Orange Order to accept, to avoid conflict over 17 marches planned through the area this year.
The principles include an acceptance that local residents have the right to withhold consent to marches passing through their district if they feel they are offensive.
