Dublin-based software firm Norkom today announced it has raised €3.1 million in funding from existing shareholders, including lead investor Trinity Venture Capital.

The company, which specialises in developing software to analyse data for companies, also said it had secured five new deals in the United States and Europe over the past three months said to be worth over €5 million in total.

The new deals include a seven figure contract in the United States with ING Direct, the retail banking arm of ING Group.

Chief executive Mr Paul Kerley said the contracts will provide the firm with working capital until at least the end of 2004.
