Two men held in connection with a €200,000 heroin seizure in Dublin last night have been released.

Two men held in connection with a €200,000 heroin seizure in Dublin last night have been released.

The men, aged 39 and 46, were arrested during the search of a flat in Synnott Place, Phibsboro shortly after 7pm.

The search was part of a planned operation by officers from the north central crime task force division targeting drug trafficking in the area.

The two men were held for just under 24 hours at Store Street Garda Station before being released this evening without charge.

A Garda spokesman said a file in relation the arrests is being prepared for the DPP.
