The High Court has reserved judgment on an application by a man, who claims he was wrongly accused of sexually abusing his daughter, to allow him to use certain records relating to his case which are in the possession of the Eastern Health Board.
The man said he wanted the documents to submit them to an inquiry into the fitness to practise of a medical practitioner, Dr Moira Woods, the former director of the sexual assault unit at Dublin's Rotunda Hospital. The inquiry relates to complaints by the man and other fathers that they were wrongly accused of abusing their children.
